Calling all Girl Scouts! Put your engineering ideas to the test during a hands-on building challenge at the Long Island Explorium.
In Bridging the Gap, Girl Scouts will become engineers as they design and build a bridge using simple materials. Participants will test how much weight their bridges can hold, experiment with their designs, and discover how engineering is a process of building, testing, and improving.

Badge Information: This program is designed to support Girl Scouts in working toward their STEM badges. Troop leaders are responsible for confirming badge requirements and determining completion. Badges are not provided by the Long Island Explorium.

👥 Supervision & Participation
- Every participating Girl Scout must be supervised by a parent, guardian, or troop leader.
- One troop leader may supervise participating Girl Scouts from the troop.
- A maximum of one adult may attend per participating Girl Scout.
- Girl Scouts may participate with their troop or on their own with an accompanying adult.

Cancellations must be made 5 business days prior to the start of the workshop to receive a one-time credit for future bookings or registrations. No refunds will be provided. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations made less than 5 business days prior to the start of the workshop. All workshops will run, subject to a minimum number of participants reached.
Program dates/times are subject to change. Enrollment minimums must be met in order for the program to run. In the event that program minimums are not met, participants will be given the option for full refund, credit, or enrollment in rescheduled events.
