Young readers and their families are invited to the Long Island Explorium for a special event inspired by Charlie’s Space Adventures: Mission to the Moon , a new children’s book celebrating space exploration, friendship, bravery, teamwork, and the power of curiosity.

About the Event
Meet Caeley Looney, a real-life aerospace engineer and the author of Charlie’s Space Adventures: Mission to the Moon.
Inspired by Caeley’s experiences with her beloved service dog, Charlie, the story follows Cate and Charlie on an adventure around the Moon. Together, they explore the wonders of space and discover how curiosity, courage, friendship, and teamwork can help us face the unknown.
During this special children’s event, families will explore themes from the book while discovering how questions and curiosity can lead to exciting developments in science and engineering.
Families will have an opportunity to:
- Meet an aerospace engineer and children’s author
- Discover a story inspired by a real service dog and a real journey into aerospace engineering
- Explore themes of space, curiosity, bravery, friendship, and teamwork
- Learn why asking questions is an important part of science and exploration
- Participate in a special children’s workshop inspired by the book
- Have preordered books signed and personalized by the author
About the Book
In Charlie’s Space Adventures: Mission to the Moon , Cate and her loyal dog Charlie embark on a mission around the Moon, where they encounter the wonders and mysteries of space.
The story celebrates resilience, neurodiversity, friendship, teamwork, and curiosity while helping make science and space exploration approachable and exciting for young readers.
The book is written for readers ages 4 to 8.
Meet Caeley Looney
Caeley Looney is an aerospace engineer, children’s author, and the Founder and CEO of Reinvented Inc., a nonprofit working to expand access to STEM education.
With degrees in aerospace engineering and space systems engineering, Caeley has contributed to projects involving satellites, lunar exploration, deep-space missions, and AI-driven spacecraft. She was also named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Education.
Through her work and storytelling, Caeley encourages children, including neurodivergent young people, to recognize their strengths, remain curious, and imagine themselves pursuing exciting futures in STEM.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made 5 business days prior to the start of the workshop to receive a one-time credit for future bookings or registrations. No refunds will be provided. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations made less than 5 business days prior to the start of the workshop. All workshops will run, subject to a minimum number of participants reached.
Program dates/times are subject to change. Enrollment minimums must be met in order for the program to run. In the event that program minimums are not met, participants will be given the option for a full refund, credit, or enrollment in a rescheduled event.
