Scouts will explore the exciting world of mechanical engineering as they design, build, and test their very own model or race cars. In this hands-on workshop, Scouts will learn about design principles, motion, and problem-solving—just like real engineers!

Through teamwork and creativity, participants will discover how science and engineering shape the world around them while earning their design challenge badges and exploring STEM careers.

🎯 Workshop Details

• Date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025
• Time: 5:00 – 6:30 PM
• Location: Long Island Explorium, Port Jefferson
• Fee:$18 per Girl Scout
• Capacity: Limited to 18 Girl Scouts (maximum of one adult per girl)
• Supervision: Each girl must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or troop leader.

📋 Policies & Cancellations

• Pre-registration required; no walk-ins permitted.
• Registration fees are non-refundable but may be credited one time toward a future Explorium program with at least 5 business days’ advance notice and based on availability.
• The Explorium reserves the right to cancel programs due to low enrollment; in that case, a credit or refund will be offered.
• No refunds or credits will be provided for cancellations made less than 5 business days prior to the event.
