Maker Spotlight: Michael Albert

On September 24th, join us for a Maker Spotlight on Michael Albert, American Pop Artist & Friend of the Long Island Explorium! Albert will showcase some of his large-scale collage works on themes including history, literature, religion, music, mathematics, geography, and more. Participants will have the opportunity to meet and work with Albert to make their own collages using cereal boxes and other printed cardboard materials. 

About Maker Spotlights: Throughout the year, we will feature Makers from all walks of life showcasing their passion during our Maker Spotlights.Makers are individuals/groups who love sharing what they are make-ing to bring joy to others. The Long Island Explorium has produced what has become the largest Maker Faire on Long Island since 2015, the Long Island Maker Faire.  

Space is limited to 15 students per workshop day for maximum social distancing and workshop participation.
Cost per class: $25/ per student.

The workshops are designed for children entering grades 2-6.

Time:

  • Workshop: 1:30 - 2:15 PM OR
  • Workshop: 3:00 - 3:45 PM
