Dye-ing up a Storm! In-Person Sustainable Dye-ing workshop

During this 45- minute in-person workshop at the Long Island Explorium, we’ll be using pigments from nature like turmeric to explore a sustainable textile dyeing process. With the pigment, water, and a bit of heat, each participant will end the workshop with their very own dyed fabric!  

Please reserve a ticket for every member of your party. Since space is strictly limited we would recommend this as a drop-off event for your children.
$25 pp with materials provided.

We have revamped our exhibits to consider the health and safety of our staff and visitors. To comply with the increased sanitation and hygiene standards, we will not be allowing any food or drinks in the Explorium, except for water bottles. Masks are required for all visitors over 2 years old during their visit unless deemed medically unable to wear one. We will provide a face shield for all those who request one instead of wearing a mask.
